While most of my friends prefer staying in luxurious and fancy hotels, people are always surprised when they find out that I had explored the entire city while staying at a very cheap hostel. Many people avoid hostels in favor of hotels as they do not fully understand what a hostel is like.
Even though there is a drastic difference between the quality and characteristics of a hotel and hostel in Perth; it is recommendable to stay in a hostel as it is more budget friendly and is more basic in terms of a hotel.

The hostels have dorm-style rooms which means that there are several beds in a room. Unlike the fancy rooms in a hotel, you will have to share the room with other people and there will be shared bathrooms as well. While in other hostels there are shared bathroom facilities down the hall, sometimes there might be one bathroom per dorm room.
Great for Solo Travellers and Backpackers
Hostels in Perth are a perfect option for younger travelers who are shoe tight on budget or are traveling for longer terms. They are also a great option for solo travelers who enjoy meeting new people. However, hostels are not exclusive to young people alone; many travelers who have left their 20s behind still enjoy hanging around in hostels for the friendly atmosphere.
