Considering FP Markets for a second account alongside my IC Markets
Quote from soumits on 17. April 2026, 3:05Considering FP Markets for a second account alongside my IC Markets. Both are Australian, both offer ECN-style, want to diversify broker risk. Before I pull the trigger — anyone running both side by side and can speak to differences in day-to-day use? Also want to confirm rebates work with FP the same way they do with IC before I open fresh.

FP Markets has slightly better cTrader experience IMO, IC has slightly tighter spreads on majors during Asian session but it's marginal. Both execute reliably during news, both withdraw fast, both are ASIC regulated. For broker risk diversification they're a solid pair — if one had an operational issue you've got the other running. On rebates — yes Globe Gain https://globegain.com/brokers/fp-markets/ covers FP Markets exactly the same way they cover IC. Rate is similar, somewhere around 3-5 per lot depending on account type and instrument. Same rule applies though — you need to open the FP account through the Globe Gain partner link from the start, no retroactive linking. If you're opening the account anyway for diversification, wrap it in a rebate link on day one. Free money, no friction, no impact on execution conditions.
