EA FC 25 is set to launch on September 27, bringing a range of new graphics options that push the boundaries of visual fidelity in football gaming.
Ray Tracing and Graphics Modes
For the first time in the series, EA FC 25 will feature ray tracing, marking a significant leap in graphical technology. Players will have the option to choose between two new graphics modes: Enhanced Visuals and Favour Resolution.
Enhanced Visuals: This mode utilizes ray tracing, augmented lighting, and detailed textures in upscaled 4K resolution. It also includes full cloth simulation for jerseys and shorts, self-shadowing throughout the day, and 3D pitch effects like divots and puddles. Enhanced Visuals aims to provide a rich, immersive experience with dynamic and realistic visual details.
Favour Resolution: This mode prioritizes native 4K resolution with standard lighting. It offers cloth simulation for shorts only and limited self-shadowing, available only during daytime matches.
Both modes will support 60 frames per second to ensure smooth and responsive gameplay.
Dynamic Time Progression
Another new feature in FC 25 is time progression during matches. Games will now reflect changes in lighting, with the sun setting in the first half and transitioning to nighttime in the second half.
Release Information
EA FC 25 will be available on September 27 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Early access starts on September 20 with the Ultimate Edition.
