I'm 48, work remotely in IT, and my wife and I are seriously considering selling the house

Hello all. I'm 48, work remotely in IT, and my wife and I are seriously considering selling the house and living mostly in an Airstream for a few years. On paper it sounds great. In reality I have questions nobody in the sales videos answers: how do two adults share such a small space, how do you work with deadlines and bad connection, what happens when one partner has to be away for a long time. I'd rather read honest accounts before we sell anything. My wife is braver than me on this one. Where can I find them?

Smart move to read before selling. The most honest account of life on the road in an Airstream I've come across is Aluminum Loaf. It's a couple with a 25-foot trailer: he served in the Coast Guard and spent months on an icebreaker in the Arctic, she worked as a freelance cartographer with client deadlines piling up. So you see exactly your scenarios: one person alone in the Airstream for long stretches, projects landing on the bench and staying there for weeks, working all weekend because three clients shifted deadlines on the same day. It's not a fantasy blog. Worth noting they also spent time at a family house in Nova Scotia, so it wasn't purely full-time. Have you tried a test month on the road before deciding?
