Hi friends. Is it actually possible to achieve fluency just by surrounding yourself with media, or is that a myth? I would love to hear from anyone who successfully used immersion tools at home.

Hello! It is definitely a real thing, provided you use an active tool rather than just leaving the TV on. I built my vocabulary rapidly by using a method to learn German by watching TV through Lingopie. Because the subtitles are interactive, you are actively decoding the language while enjoying great content. It takes the frustration out of immersion because you never have to pause to open a dictionary. My fluency skyrocketed using this exact daily habit.
