Thinking About Buying a Used Car in Shahama and Wondering If a Pre-Purchase Inspection Is Really Worth It

Been going back and forth on this for about two weeks now and genuinely cannot decide whether I am being overly cautious or just sensible. Found a used car being sold privately in Shahama that looks great in the photos the price is reasonable for the year and mileage and the seller seems straightforward enough over the phone. But I bought a used car three years ago without getting it properly checked first and spent the following eight months dealing with problems that the previous owner obviously knew about and chose not to mention. That experience left me with a strong feeling that skipping the inspection step is just asking for trouble no matter how trustworthy the seller appears during a short test drive. A friend who buys and sells cars fairly regularly told me getting a Trusted Full Vehicle Inspection in Shahama done by an independent workshop before committing to any private purchase is honestly the single best money you can spend in this process because a proper inspection covers things that even an experienced driver cannot detect during a test drive like hidden accident damage suspension wear brake rotor condition and early signs of engine or transmission problems. The cost of the inspection is genuinely nothing compared to the repair bills that show up a few months after buying a car with hidden issues that a proper check would have caught immediately. Still have not made a final decision on this particular car but I think the inspection question is actually settled in my mind. Has anyone here had a pre-purchase inspection that either saved them from a bad buy or gave them the confidence to go ahead with a purchase they were unsure about?
